Project Summary: Students will create a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation that covers key clinical guidelines used in the management of common conditions in family practice. This project will assess students understanding of evidence-based practices and their ability to synthesize and present complex clinical information. Guidelines to be Covered: 1. JNC 8 (Joint National Committee 8) Guidelines - Management of Hypertension 2. ACC/AHA Guidelines - Hypertension and Blood Cholesterol Treatment 3. GINA Asthma Treatment Guidelines - Global Initiative for Asthma 4. GOLD Guidelines - Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease Project Components: 1. Introduction Slide: o Overview of the importance of clinical guidelines in family practice. o Brief introduction to the guidelines being covered. 2.
